Arrivals and Departures
The Gites are available from 4pm on the day of arrival,
and we ask that you try not to arrive before this time. Please let
us know in advance if you expect to arrive after 7pm.
The Gites must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Some
flexibility on the departure time may be afforded, particularly
for disabled visitors, but only by prior arrangement.
Lettings run from Saturday to Saturday in the high season (July
and August). At other times an arrival and departure day can be
negotiated.
Pets
La Coume is situated in the midst of hill farmland
and surrounded by sheep and cattle. Accordingly pets, particularly
dogs, we regret we can no longer accept with exception of 'Assistance dogs', and by arrangement only and at no additional charge.
Please see that assistance dogs are exercised away from the Gites and communal
areas and that they do not soil any part of the property or grounds.
We expect that the best animal husbandry and practice is maintained
by visitors in this respect at all times, including recovery
of soiling in any communal area during their stay.
Dogs are not to be left unattended in the Gite/s, in cars on or
near the property, at any time. Visitors are solely and fully responsible
for their pets at all times.
Smoking
La Coume is a smoke free area. Therefore, no smoking
is allowed in the Gites and communal areas, including the pool.
This is due to the high risk of fire, particularly in the summer
- no smoking is allowed on the surrounding land. All Gites are fitted with smoke detectors.
Parking
The Gites have parking space in a generous car park
close to the main entrance. Please let us know if you are bringing
a large vehicle or more than one vehicle. Vehicles, including those
adapted for a disabled person, must not be left outside the main
entrance to the Gites other than for boarding and discharging.
We ask that you park your vehicle with consideration for other visitors.
No caravans or camping is allowed on site. PLEASE DO NOT park in
the accessible bays nearest the Gites unless you are a blue badge
holder.
Motor caravans are permitted on site and must be parked in the car
park. However, it will be expected that all the occupants will be staying
in a Gite.
Conduct
The person booking the holiday is responsible for the conduct of
his/her entire party during the holiday. In particular, it is expected
that the best possible consideration is given to the enjoyment and
privacy of other visitors and residents at all times, and, that
excessive noise or disturbance is avoided.
Cleaning
Cleaning materials and equipment are provided.
You are responsible for leaving the Gite and its contents as you
found them. If, in the opinion of the owner, the property has not
been satisfactorily cleaned, a cleaning charge of £12 per
hour will be deducted from the breakages deposit.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is used at your own risk. A hoist
is provided for access to the pool for those who require it. Instructions
in its use will be given and it must be used under supervision.
ABSOLUTELY - No diving or jumping into the pool is permitted.
No breakable glass items are permitted within the pool area.
Children are your responsibility and should remain under close supervision
at all times.
